You struggle with interrupting, which probably has something to do with you enthusiasm and how you want to identify with the person with whom you are communicating. I bet your interruptions aren't just to interject your point of view, but also to ask questions, which is an excellent sign to others that you are listening. Questions indicate that we are listening to understand. I bet you also stop their flow of conversation to paraphrase what they've said to make sure you've understood it correctly. It's amazing what a faucet opening a simple echoing statement is, and I bet you do that naturally. <br /><br />Don't be too hard on yourself for interrupting. Have you ever talked to someone who is like a wall? The other thing is that in our replies, we share commonalities and that brings us closer. If we just echo and ask questions, we become a counselor. If we share our thoughts, we become a friend. I bet you have tons of friends.
