Taking in Life Around Me......#SundayStills...Theme: Christmas song lyric challenge
I thought the last lyric challenge was hard, this one is even harder. I love Christmas music and my Spotify playlist is VERY long. I like the traditional songs, but more than that I love more current songs that have deep meanings and I add to the list every year as new songs come out.
I've gone back and forth as to whether I'd even post. I know it's fine and often good to take breaks, but I hate doing that because I feel like I have few creative outlets at the moment and this is one of them. So while I'm not sure this would be my "favorite" song, it depicts one of my favorite Christmas items...the tree! It seems there are a few versions of this, with changing lyrics. Do you have a favorite version?

This year our tree was small enough my daughter carried it herself.
I LOVE decorating the tree with new and old ornaments, some handmade some just gifted.
These little white trees I found in a local shop and they reminded me of my grandma (she used to crochet and starch gifts for us). They're some of my favorite decorations.

Just a few of my ornaments..The Santa was painted on a dried gourd that my son in laws father painted. I love it.
2020 Tree...I usually stick with the same color scheme, but this year we went with silver and buffalo plaid.
Our grandson had so much fun going on a Christmas tree hunt. He ran all over the place yelling, "this one? This one?". So fun!
Tree from a few years ago..I think 2018. Noble firs are my favorite because they hold my ornaments better.
We definitely do it the hard way. Cutting them down with a hand saw!
One year we visited Disney World during December. WOW. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Sparkling lights was amazing!
There's just something about walking amongst the Christmas trees. Look in the background and you'll see Mt. St. Helens.
The previous owners of our property grew Christmas trees. We had to cut a lot of them down, but did keep a few. The ones above were beautiful and we decorated them with lights for a few years and then they just got too tall. We cut them down last year. I was sad, but they were getting too big for our front yard and they were attracting swarms of wasps/hornets.
2014....the Christmas before our oldest daughter got married. I think it might have been the last year she was with us to get a tree.

You selected a wonderful song, Kirstin (and like you I love a million of them). Your array of Christmas trees gone by is beautiful, gorgeous ornaments, color themes and amazing pictures. The one of your grandson is precious in that pic!! This was our first year having a tree since 2008, due to traveling so many year before Christmas and beyond. I'm making up for lost time with my 9 foot faux tannenbaum, and a small one in our family room. My hubby can sing most of O Christmas Tree in German :)
