Internet is Down Again

Once again my internet is down. Since Tuesday it has been either extremely slow or not working at all. I'm looking into some other options, none of which will be cheap. That is the reason I have not posted anything the last several days. We'll see if this even posts. When the internet is down it seems like I am so out of touch with all my bloggy friends, and it seems I can never really catch up. Our Northwest weather is back. A storm blew through yesterday and we had one tree crack and fall. Down the hill there were more trees down and I think we were spared the brunt of the storm. I will admit I was kind of looking forward to a good storm, so I was slightly disappointed when it didn't get worse (I know...it sounds crazy). I think I should have been a storm chaser. We did sit on the porch and watch the wind and rain. We loaned our chainsaw to the neighbor since the tree that snapped and fell, fell on their driveway. I'm not sure if it was our tree or their tree. The temperatures for the next week dip back down into the 60's and 70's. My garden continues to grow. My beans, peas, corn, cukes and squash are all coming up beautifully. The things I've planted as "plants" are doing well. I picked some lettuce yesterday. I'm waiting on radishes, carrots, beets and lettuces to come up. They seem to be coming up slow and so I'll replant next week if I don't see any emerging. We are winding down the school year and I'm trying to get a jump start on next year by looking at curriculum now. There are just so many options to choose from. Our summer will be crazy this year. In 3 weeks we do our fourth of July fundraiser with our youth group. It is a killer 6 days, but lots of fun and a good fundraiser. Kat's crazy summer soccer schedule also gets underway in 2 weeks. She has tournaments almost every weekend through the 2nd week of August. Thankfully all but one is local. This is her last year before high school so I don't mind a bit of chaos. Well I need to work on a few things, I thought I'd just take advantage of getting online and posting. Hopefully I'll have a recipe to post in the next several days...probably early next week. With Joy UNquenchable,

  3. Hey Kirstin!
What kind of internet service are you using? We have satellite & it works great but have the option of switching to wireless internet- it's a lot cheaper and a little faster. But I don't know a whole lot about it & have heard it can be unreliable.
Good for you on your garden! I sure wish I was good at that type of thing.
Your cake looks YUMMY! Too funny about the ingredients flying everywhere in the mixer... that's happened to me plenty of times. Unfortunately. ;)
    Love, Alyssa
