Happy Homemaker Monday

On my bedside table: Loving Our children on Purpose by Danny Silk Qualities of a Spiritual Warrior by Graham Cooke On my TV: Cold Case Little House on the Prairie On the menu for tonight: You mean I have to cook? Hmmmm...not sure at this point. Nan has a doctor appointment at 4:30 and hubby and Kat are going to town, so it may be a "whatever" night. On my To Do List: Take Nan to the doctor this afternoon for a yearly checkup, get the house ready for grandmas visit this Thursday, meeting, grocery shop (not all today, but this is the weeks To Do), chiropractor, pick up grandma from the airport. whoo hoo! New Recipe I tried last week: I was out of town, so no new recipes. In the craft basket: Nothing. Looking forward to: Getting my garden planted. I threw my back out though so I can't do it today. Hoping for a break in the weather this week. Homemaking Tip for this week: If you do not have a sifter, no worries. Place the ingredients in a bowl (ie..powdered sugar). Then using your whisk, whisk the powdered sugar or flour until light and fluffy. It works great. Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other): I loved my mother's hands by 4 Reluctant Entertainers...what a sweet post. I'm agreeing with Sandra on this one...I didn't get to read many blogs this past week since I was out of town but I did like Sandy's post. Favorite photo from last week:
My girls in the tulip fields. I just love their playfulness!
Lesson learned the past few days: I learned over again how important honor is in relationships and that true relationships are built not when we agree with one another but when we learn to honor one another. I can love someone and have relationship with them, even if I do not always agree. On my Prayer List: My back Continued provision More intimacy with Daddy God Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: “Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are -- face to face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We're free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like Him. 1. I loved your point about honoring people. I think sometimes, especially in church that people don't really get to know a person. It is easier to show someone honor if you know about them.
