Book Review: Kaleidoscope

I recently received the book Kaleidoscope by Patsy Clairmont to review for Thomas Nelson Publishing. I have always loved Patsy Clairmont and have heard her share at several Women of Faith events. I also love the book of Proverbs, and of course the beautiful cover instantly caught my attention as well as the title, because who doesn't love to look through a Kaleidoscope.

Each chapter is dedicated to one Proverb (a chapter and a verse), Patsy then shares with her typical wit and wisdom a nugget of truth pulled from the particular Proverb, always including a humorous story/illustration to go along with it. At the end of each chapter are two small sections:

1. Bits and Pieces, includes a series of questions designed to engage your brain in how the chapter relates to you, to get you thinking.

2. Held to the Light Includes extra Scripture Verses for you to read. I recommend reading them and then deciding to come into agreement with their truth for your life.

I found the book very well written and very easy to read.  I think that those who choose to read through the pages and ponder the questions will find the potential to have their lives re-energized and transformed, as long as they choose to come into agreement with them and walk in who they are created to be. Patsy's thoughts are practical and applicable, easy to understand and very relate-able. A book well worth reading and recommending.
